Guitarists face the audience, especially when they’re singing.  Of course!  Well, pianists don’t, because they need for the piano to face the audience, so they face sideways.

What about hammered dulcimer players?  Well, the instrument needs to face the audience, but the player’s body gets in the way…. The article I wrote about that subject was published in Dulcimer Players News in 2010, and the archived .pdf of that issue is here!  (.Pdf page 47, print page 44.)
