The well-known acoustic soloist, Timothy Seaman, will perform at the Northumberland County Historical Society on Saturday, July 30th at 1:30 p.m. The title of his performance and presentation is “Virginia's Blue Ridge Nature and Heritage in Music.”  It will emphasize music to celebrate Shenandoah National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway,Grayson Highlands State Park, and more.

Tim is a specialist in musical themes involving Virginia, Celtic roots, folk hymns, parks and nature. His musical talents include playing on the hammered dulcimer, bamboo or silver flute, the bowed psaltery as well as vocal renditions. His musical genre is his own self-styled blend of Appalachian, Classical, Celtic and contemporary.  Tim introduces his selections with stories, details, history, and humor. This adds to an already sparkling performance.

After teaching English for nineteen years, Tim turned his attention to performing. Since 1993, he has delighted audiences hundreds of times a year.
